The Securewest International Global Response Centre (GRC) recorded 8 maritime related incidents during the reporting period of 6 – 12 December 2022.
The following incidents were recorded:
- 06-DEC-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 103 migrants reach safety of Lanzarote, Spain.
- 07-DEC-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Vietnamese vessel saves 154 migrants from sinking boat.
- 08-DEC-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Three migrants found dead off Southern Spain.
- 08-DEC-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 149 migrants arrived by boat on the Italian island of Lampedusa.
- 08-DEC-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 50 migrants rescued and arrive in UK.
- 09-DEC-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Migrants rescued in the English Channel by the R.N.L.I.
- 10-DEC-22 – Attack – Vessel attacked in Southern Red Sea.
- 12-DEC-22 – Attack – Vessel attacked in the Gulf of Guinea.
