Yes. As a measure of protecting end-users’ privacy and integrity, SPHERE puts them in complete control. End-users can choose to disable location sharing completely or, if enabled, set their own privacy level directly in the SPHERE Mobile Application.

Yes, SPHERE has a feature called ‘Scheduled Check-ins’ that lets you select certain weekdays and time slots for when you want end users to report their position manually in the app.

The SPHERE platform automatically provides an initial rough risk analysis that is used as a starting point for further analysis, such as the number of employees affected, which facilities are affected, threat level, estimated progression of the threat, standard recommendations, etc. Updates are also provided as the threat evolves. The platform provides additional historical information that can be used for in-depth risk analysis.

Yes, in the Dashboard, you find a widget called Country Risk Exposure which quickly lets you identify the number of users, upcoming travel bookings, and facilities you have in a country with a specific risk level. You can also subscribe to emails called ‘Risk Trip Warnings’, which lets you receive information on any new high-risk travel bookings added to the system.

The app can handle sharing your location if your mobile device cannot access the internet but still have access to mobile networks and can send SMS. In addition, the app stores information offline, which can be accessed at any time.

Yes, for departure locations, you will receive alerts 24 hours before arriving at the location and four hours after departure. For arrival locations, you get alerts 72 hours before arrival and four hours after departure from the location. The location radius is five kilometers for both arrival and departure locations.

The main purpose of the app is to provide users with useful security-related information before and during business trips, both via Country information and alert messages. The app may include contact information for Assistance and/or Security providers. In addition, the system also allows SPHERE to geolocate the user based on the location of the device when the app is running (even when the app is not being used but just running in the background) and when the user consents to the geolocation function. SPHERE will provide this data to the employer, subject to each user’s consent, by accepting the Terms of Use. SPHERE will not use the location data for any other purpose. The system also allows employers to send SMS/Email via the dashboard to users based on the email and phone number registered by the user when registering into the system.
