The Securewest International Global Response Centre (GRC) recorded 7 maritime related incidents during the reporting period of 20 – 26 September 2022.
The following incidents were recorded:
- 20-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 193 migrants were rescued while attempting to reach the Canary Islands from West Africa.
- 21-SEP-22 – Robbery – Container ship robbed at Suez Anchorage.
- 21-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 667 migrants in 15 boats intercepted in English Channel.
- 23-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 38 migrants were rescued from the Black Sea while attempting to reach Romania.
- 23-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 61 migrants drowned in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Syria coast.
- 24-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 1,100 migrants crossed the English Channel in small boats.
- 24-SEP-22 – General Security Warning – UKMTO issued NOTICE 003/SEP/2022 advising that aircraft live firing was scheduled on 24-SEP 04:30 to 06:30 UTC in the Arabian Sea.
