The Securewest International Global Response Centre (GRC) recorded 12 maritime related incidents during the reporting period of 13 – 19 September 2022.
The following incidents were recorded:
- 13-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 538 migrants rescued in the English Channel.
- 14-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Six migrants die in Aegean Sea.
- 14-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 73 migrants rescued in the Aegean Sea.
- 14-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Three suspected smugglers arrested in Catania, Sicily.
- 14-SEP-22 – Robbery – MV robbed in the Gulf of Guinea.
- 15-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Migrants rescued in the English Channel.
- 15-SEP-22 – Robbery – Dinghy stolen in Cartagena, Colombia.
- 16-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Five migrants found deceased in the Aegean Sea.
- 17-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Over 600 migrants cross the English Channel.
- 17-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Migrants intercepted off Florida, USA.
- 18-SEP-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Almost 1,300 migrants cross the English Channel.
- 19-SEP-22 – Robbery – MV robbed at Takoradi Anchorage, Ghana.
