The Securewest International Global Response Centre (GRC) recorded 4 maritime related incidents during the reporting period of 26 July – 1 August 2022.
The following incidents were recorded:
- 29-JUL-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – More than 200 migrants cross the English Channel.
- 29-JUL-22 – Robbery – Underway bulk carrier boarded by armed robbers.
- 30-JUL-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 460 people crossed the English Channel in 12 small boats.
- 31-JUL-22 – Maritime Information Advisory – Mine defused in the Black Sea.
Key:
Robbery: Theft from a vessel or from persons aboard the vessel. |
Migrant and Refugee Incident: This could involve Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, or information about a boat capsizing and people drowning, or an attack on the group. |
Maritime Information Advisory: Notable maritime updates e.g., Military exercises, Curfews and Advisories. |
