Please be advised on June 11, the Ministry of Interior stated that migration authorities will temporarily introduce tighter border controls nationwide from June 13 until July 3 2022.
The decision comes ahead of the 48th G7 summit, which is due to take place in Schloss Elmau, Krün, Bavarian Alps, Germany between June 26-28.
The bolstering of security is a pre-emptive measure meant to deter potential “perpetrators of violence” from entering Germany. Travellers can be expected to be subject to security checks during this period.
