1) OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Securewest is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join its maritime operations team. The primary purpose of this role is to control all aspects of travel management within the department and  includes :

Tasks and Responsibilities:       

  • Coordinate all travel for Securewest employees and contractors
  • Maintain a full working knowledge of all national, international and flag state compliance requirements
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of international regulations relating to maritime security
  • Monitor licence/visa applications and renew as appropriate
  • Act as duty operations, conducting 'out of hours' cover as required

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrable track record of successful professional experience in the private sector
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
  • Exhibit sound and accurate decision making and record keeping under pressure and when working to tight deadlines
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills including Excel and Word applications

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience within travel co-ordination
  • Professional experience of the commercial maritime security sector

Location: Plymouth, UK

Type of Engagement: Full Time

Reporting to: Senior Operations Coordinator

Hours: 40 hours a week with 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays. Note : role involves some weekend and evening working

Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
